Sports Betting Terms Explained

A retirement bonus with a catch.

Another recent TFTS post reminded me of this gem.
Back when I was in college, I had a job as a part-time PC tech for a rather large regional IT contractor in the SF Bay Area. One of our bigger contracted clients was a large medical nonprofit, "MedGroupCo", that we maintained with a bi-weekly maintenance contract. Every two weeks or so, we'd send a handful of techs out to do a quick sweep for problems, tune-up their printers, and perform rotating scheduled maintenance on some of their leased PC's and networking equipment. They had more than 600 computers spread across several medical campuses, along with dozens of shared laser printers and associated network closets. We had a solid maintenance plan in place to keep up with everything and they'd been a happy client for many, many years.
One day, out of the blue, MedGroupCo's CTO "Tom" called us up and asked to renegotiate the contract. The medical group was having financial problems and had just gutted his IT budget...he couldn't afford us any longer. After a long sit-down with our sales and support people, we placed the client into a new and cheaper contract. Rather than visit every two weeks, we'd shift them onto a semiannual maintenance plan. We'd come out twice a year to do regular maintenance, and all other calls would be handled on an on-demand basis. Equipment failures would be covered under the lease warranties, but anything beyond that would involve a per-call support charge. The maintenance visits would be more disruptive and require a larger number of techs, but the overall contract cost was substantially lower. "Six figures annually" lower. We warned them that moving to an on-demand based support model would be a bit of an adjustment. Because we'd been visiting every two weeks, the client had never used our ticketing system before. Their employees usually just jotted their computer issues down on a piece of paper and taped them to the sides of their monitors, knowing that we'd be by within a couple of weeks to get them fixed. We emphasized to the client that this might be an employee training issue, but the CTO insisted that he could get his users trained to use the new ticketing system and that it wouldn't be a problem.
Fast forward five months.
Our department manager had started to plan the first of MedGroupCo's semiannual maintenance visits and opened their ticket history to see whether they'd been having any recurring issues that might need special attention. Nada. And by "nada", I don't mean "No recurring issues". I mean no issues at all. The company hadn't filed a single ticket. That was...unlikely. At a minimum, they should have statistically had at least a half-dozen PC crashes during that period, and their printers should have required some maintenance. In hindsight, the manager later admitted that we should have followed up with the company sooner after the contract switch, but we had a LOT of clients and support was spread across several teams, so nobody had noticed that one of our biggest clients hadn't logged a single ticket. Because MedGroupCo hadn't logged any complaints, there was a general assumption that the client was submitting tickets and that they were being handled by one of the other teams.
Our department manager, worried about the discovery, called up their CTO's office and asked for Tom. He was even more worried when the receptionist responded with, "I'm sorry, but Tom retired three months ago. Would you like to speak with our new CTO Dave? Can I ask whose calling? Please hold while I get him on the line."
After a long time on hold, the receptionist came back on with a curt, "Dave isn't currently available to speak with you and he said that we no longer do business with your company. Can I take a message?"
What? We just signed a five-year, $3+ million contract. You bet we'd like to leave a message.
CTO Dave called us back the next day. He dove right in and wasn't kind: "Your company violated our contract and we fired you. When I was hired, we had more than 50 computers that weren't working at all, nothing had been maintained in months, and our printers were a disaster. Every single user had support requests that had never been addressed. This was the most unprofessional thing I've ever completely abandoned us and we've contracted with CompetitorCorp for our maintenance from now on."
What again?!?!? Our support manager patiently explained to their CTO that we hadn't abandoned anything and that we had a signed contract stating that we'd only be doing onsites every six months. As for their claims that we'd failed to support them, we pointed out that the company had never logged a single support ticket. We'd have happily fixed anything they requested, but they'd never asked. The new CTO, looking over a freshly emailed, newly scanned copy of the current, signed contract, was dumbfounded. He'd never seen it before. He'd...have to call us back.
Two days later, our company leadership, CTO Dave, MedGroupCo's CEO, and a bunch of lawyers sat down for a meeting. Apparently, MedGroupCo had a "cost savings benefit" they offered to their employees. If you find a way to reduce operating costs, the company will credit the first-year savings to the employee as a "bounty". Literally, if an employee found a way to save the company a million dollars a year, they'd give the employee a million dollars. I'd want that deal! CTO Tom wanted that deal too. As it turned out, there had never been any budget cuts. Tom had simply known his retirement was approaching and renegotiated the contract to shave nearly a quarter-million dollars off MedGroupCo's IT maintenance contract...neatly pocketing that quarter-million-dollar "bounty" for himself as he headed out the door.
This deception left MedGroupCo in a tough position. They still had four and a half years left on their five-year, $3+ million contract with our company. And they'd just signed a new five-year, $4 million contract with CompetitorCorp. Both contracts were binding. MedCoGroup was stuck.
Because they'd been a customer for so long, our CEO had a bit of sympathy and made them an offer. He'd allow them to end their contract for $1 million, on the stipulation that they sign an agreement to rejoin our company when their 5-year contract with CompetitorCorp expired. He even sweetened the deal by offering to credit the $1 million to their new contract when they returned. They'd been a profitable customer for a very long time, and he was willing to take a short-term hit in exchange for getting them back in the future. MedGroupCo loved the offer and would have signed the agreement right there, but one of our managers picked that moment to bring up another issue by asking, "Did your contract with CompetitorCorp include equipment? Because if you're not under contract with us we'll need to retrieve all of our leased computers, printers and networking equipment."
Alas, CompetitorCorps's agreement DID include hardware. And printers. And networking equipment. They'd already swapped everything out with shiny new hardware maintained under CompetitorCorp's own leases. And what had CompetitorCorp done with our hardware? As the story was later told, CTO Dave had told them, "They abandoned the equipment...just wipe it and send it all to the dump."
And with that, a $1.4 million dollar equipment loss fee was tacked onto that $1 million buyout, which was promptly refused by MedGroupCo's CEO. The lawyers on both sides went to work feverishly pointing at various clauses in the contracts, trying to negotiate higher ground and paint themselves as the victims in this debacle. Lawsuits were filed. Countersuits were filed. Law enforcement was called in to investigate. Newspapers ran stories about the mean IT company that was trying to fleece money from the poor, poor doctors. And, in the end, MedGroupCo cut us a settlement check for $2 million.
And CTO Tom? Last I heard, he was enjoying his retirement. He was never arrested, charged, or sued for his role in any of it.

[NYTimes] Sources describe horror stories of young and inexperienced investors on Robinhood, many engaging in riskier trades at far higher volumes than at other firms
Richard Dobatse, a Navy medic in San Diego, dabbled infrequently in stock trading. But his behavior changed in 2017 when he signed up for Robinhood, a trading app that made buying and selling stocks simple and seemingly free.
Mr. Dobatse, now 32, said he had been charmed by Robinhood’s one-click trading, easy access to complex investment products, and features like falling confetti and emoji-filled phone notifications that made it feel like a game. After funding his account with $15,000 in credit card advances, he began spending more time on the app.
As he repeatedly lost money, Mr. Dobatse took out two $30,000 home equity loans so he could buy and sell more speculative stocks and options, hoping to pay off his debts. His account value shot above $1 million this year — but almost all of that recently disappeared. This week, his balance was $6,956.
“When he is doing his trading, he won’t want to eat,” said his wife, Tashika Dobatse, with whom he has three children. “He would have nightmares.”
Millions of young Americans have begun investing in recent years through Robinhood, which was founded in 2013 with a sales pitch of no trading fees or account minimums. The ease of trading has turned it into a cultural phenomenon and a Silicon Valley darling, with the start-up climbing to an $8.3 billion valuation. It has been one of the tech industry’s biggest growth stories in the recent market turmoil.
But at least part of Robinhood’s success appears to have been built on a Silicon Valley playbook of behavioral nudges and push notifications, which has drawn inexperienced investors into the riskiest trading, according to an analysis of industry data and legal filings, as well as interviews with nine current and former Robinhood employees and more than a dozen customers. And the more that customers engaged in such behavior, the better it was for the company, the data shows.
Thanks for reading The Times. Subscribe to The Times More than at any other retail brokerage firm, Robinhood’s users trade the riskiest products and at the fastest pace, according to an analysis of new filings from nine brokerage firms by the research firm Alphacution for The New York Times.
In the first three months of 2020, Robinhood users traded nine times as many shares as E-Trade customers, and 40 times as many shares as Charles Schwab customers, per dollar in the average customer account in the most recent quarter. They also bought and sold 88 times as many risky options contracts as Schwab customers, relative to the average account size, according to the analysis.
The more often small investors trade stocks, the worse their returns are likely to be, studies have shown. The returns are even worse when they get involved with options, research has found.
This kind of trading, where a few minutes can mean the difference between winning and losing, was particularly hazardous on Robinhood because the firm has experienced an unusual number of technology issues, public records show. Some Robinhood employees, who declined to be identified for fear of retaliation, said the company failed to provide adequate guardrails and technology to support its customers.
Those dangers came into focus last month when Alex Kearns, 20, a college student in Nebraska, killed himself after he logged into the app and saw that his balance had dropped to negative $730,000. The figure was high partly because of some incomplete trades.
“There was no intention to be assigned this much and take this much risk,” Mr. Kearns wrote in his suicide note, which a family member posted on Twitter.
Like Mr. Kearns, Robinhood’s average customer is young and lacks investing know-how. The average age is 31, the company said, and half of its customers had never invested before.
Some have visited Robinhood’s headquarters in Menlo Park, Calif., in recent years to confront the staff about their losses, said four employees who witnessed the incidents. This year, they said, the start-up installed bulletproof glass at the front entrance.
“They encourage people to go from training wheels to driving motorcycles,” Scott Smith, who tracks brokerage firms at the financial consulting firm Cerulli, said of Robinhood. “Over the long term, it’s like trying to beat the casino.”
At the core of Robinhood’s business is an incentive to encourage more trading. It does not charge fees for trading, but it is still paid more if its customers trade more.
That’s because it makes money through a complex practice known as “payment for order flow.” Each time a Robinhood customer trades, Wall Street firms actually buy or sell the shares and determine what price the customer gets. These firms pay Robinhood for the right to do this, because they then engage in a form of arbitrage by trying to buy or sell the stock for a profit over what they give the Robinhood customer.
This practice is not new, and retail brokers such as E-Trade and Schwab also do it. But Robinhood makes significantly more than they do for each stock share and options contract sent to the professional trading firms, the filings show.
For each share of stock traded, Robinhood made four to 15 times more than Schwab in the most recent quarter, according to the filings. In total, Robinhood got $18,955 from the trading firms for every dollar in the average customer account, while Schwab made $195, the Alphacution analysis shows. Industry experts said this was most likely because the trading firms believed they could score the easiest profits from Robinhood customers.
Vlad Tenev, a founder and co-chief executive of Robinhood, said in an interview that even with some of its customers losing money, young Americans risked greater losses by not investing in stocks at all. Not participating in the markets “ultimately contributed to the sort of the massive inequalities that we’re seeing in society,” he said.
Mr. Tenev said only 12 percent of the traders active on Robinhood each month used options, which allow people to bet on where the price of a specific stock will be on a specific day and multiply that by 100. He said the company had added educational content on how to invest safely.
He declined to comment on why Robinhood makes more than its competitors from the Wall Street firms. The company also declined to comment on Mr. Dobatse or provide data on its customers’ performance.
Robinhood does not force people to trade, of course. But its success at getting them do so has been highlighted internally. In June, the actor Ashton Kutcher, who has invested in Robinhood, attended one of the company’s weekly staff meetings on Zoom and celebrated its success by comparing it to gambling websites, said three people who were on the call.
Mr. Kutcher said in a statement that his comment “was not intended to be a comparison of business models nor the experience Robinhood provides its customers” and that it referred “to the current growth metrics.” He added that he was “absolutely not insinuating that Robinhood was a gambling platform.”
ImageRobinhood’s co-founders and co-chief executives, Baiju Bhatt, left, and Vlad Tenev, created the company to make investing accessible to everyone. Robinhood’s co-founders and co-chief executives, Baiju Bhatt, left, and Vlad Tenev, created the company to make investing accessible to everyone.Credit...via Reuters Robinhood was founded by Mr. Tenev and Baiju Bhatt, two children of immigrants who met at Stanford University in 2005. After teaming up on several ventures, including a high-speed trading firm, they were inspired by the Occupy Wall Street movement to create a company that would make finance more accessible, they said. They named the start-up Robinhood after the English outlaw who stole from the rich and gave to the poor.
Robinhood eliminated trading fees while most brokerage firms charged $10 or more for a trade. It also added features to make investing more like a game. New members were given a free share of stock, but only after they scratched off images that looked like a lottery ticket.
The app is simple to use. The home screen has a list of trendy stocks. If a customer touches one of them, a green button pops up with the word “trade,” skipping many of the steps that other firms require.
Robinhood initially offered only stock trading. Over time, it added options trading and margin loans, which make it possible to turbocharge investment gains — and to supersize losses.
The app advertises options with the tagline “quick, straightforward & free.” Customers who want to trade options answer just a few multiple-choice questions. Beginners are legally barred from trading options, but those who click that they have no investing experience are coached by the app on how to change the answer to “not much” experience. Then people can immediately begin trading.
Before Robinhood added options trading in 2017, Mr. Bhatt scoffed at the idea that the company was letting investors take uninformed risks.
“The best thing we can say to those people is ‘Just do it,’” he told Business Insider at the time.
In May, Robinhood said it had 13 million accounts, up from 10 million at the end of 2019. Schwab said it had 12.7 million brokerage accounts in its latest filings; E-Trade reported 5.5 million.
That growth has kept the money flowing in from venture capitalists. Sequoia Capital and New Enterprise Associates are among those that have poured $1.3 billion into Robinhood. In May, the company received a fresh $280 million.
“Robinhood has made the financial markets accessible to the masses and, in turn, revolutionized the decades-old brokerage industry,” Andrew Reed, a partner at Sequoia, said after last month’s fund-raising.
Image Robinhood shows users that its options trading is free of commissions. Robinhood shows users that its options trading is free of commissions. Mr. Tenev has said Robinhood has invested in the best technology in the industry. But the risks of trading through the app have been compounded by its tech glitches.
In 2018, Robinhood released software that accidentally reversed the direction of options trades, giving customers the opposite outcome from what they expected. Last year, it mistakenly allowed people to borrow infinite money to multiply their bets, leading to some enormous gains and losses.
Robinhood’s website has also gone down more often than those of its rivals — 47 times since March for Robinhood and 10 times for Schwab — according to a Times analysis of data from, which tracks website reliability. In March, the site was down for almost two days, just as stock prices were gyrating because of the coronavirus pandemic. Robinhood’s customers were unable to make trades to blunt the damage to their accounts.
Four Robinhood employees, who declined to be identified, said the outage was rooted in issues with the company’s phone app and servers. They said the start-up had underinvested in technology and moved too quickly rather than carefully.
Mr. Tenev said he could not talk about the outage beyond a company blog post that said it was “not acceptable.” Robinhood had recently made new technology investments, he said.
Plaintiffs who have sued over the outage said Robinhood had done little to respond to their losses. Unlike other brokers, the company has no phone number for customers to call.
Mr. Dobatse suffered his biggest losses in the March outage — $860,000, his records show. Robinhood did not respond to his emails, he said, adding that he planned to take his case to financial regulators for arbitration.
“They make it so easy for people that don’t know anything about stocks,” he said. “Then you go there and you start to lose money.”

Your Preaching Work is over bro.

I was having a serious discussion about the preaching work with a jw friend I grew up with and I finally said, in a Respectfully tone of voice;
Bro, your world wide preaching work to give a witness to all the nations, BEFORE THE END -----is over—there is no more door to door preaching-------World-Wide.
He says; No, that’s not true, we are still witnessing to people by letter writing. So people are still getting a witness that we are living in the last days.
Bro, do you realize how effective letter writing is in our time? What do you do when you get mail with no return address? Most people just throw it in the trash. Let me give you an example of how successful you letter writing is.
At work in our lunch room, one of the workers brought up the subject that he got a letter from the Jehovah Witnesses. No forwarding address, just two pages hand written, discussing the destruction of evil people and a paradise where you can pet tigers and bears, and an invitation to visit their website---I’m not kidding that’s what this person said about the contents of the letter. A few others chimed in and said they had gotten the same letter. One of them asked the person relating the story if he Googled Jehovah’s witnesses?
The person said; "That's The First Thing I Did", and what I found out was that they are well known for “Child Sexual Abuse and refusing a blood transfusion.
About half of the people in the lunch room already knew that the organization is involved heavily in Child sexual Abuse and that many jws have let their family members die instead of receiving a blood transfusion. After lunch was over, not just half knew about the jws and the child abuse problem, but now Everyone Knew about JWs and child sexual abuse.
My friend said; That’s all lies by apostates.
I said; Bro; if the preaching work is Jehovah’s means of saving as many people as possible because he does not desire any to be destroyed, why would he not make sure all the lies are exposed immediately? I mean, people’s everlasting life is involved.
Think about it, by Jehovah not exposing the lies, he is making it impossible for people to be saved because no right-hearted person is going to get involved with a religious organization that is being sued by hundreds for covering up child sexual abuse. If anything, because of the tons of child sexual abuse ---a person would believe that organization is being run by the Devil.
Bro, if you daughters came home and told you they were joining “TRUE FAITH”, an organization that claimed God was using them to save people, and you Googled them and found out they were involved in tons of child abuse lawsuits------would you let your daughters get involved? What if your daughters told you that the TRUE FAITH organization told them that all the millions of dollars of payouts in Child abuse crimes were just lies by apostates. WHAT WOULD YOU THINK? HOW FAR WOULD YOU GO TO SAVE YOUR DAUGHTERS FROM JOINING SUCH AN ORGANIZATION?
His reply; I don’t know why Jehovah is not exposing the lies?
Me; Just something to think about bro.
I grew up with this jw, we have good memories that we share. He got baptized and I didn’t so he allows me to have some good conversations with him. On a personal note, I don’t like waking up people just for the sake of waking them up. But if they start the conversation on why I should go back, then all bets are off.

A surprising perspective on the car industry by someone who went through the 2008 crisis in the car industry

Who am I?
My name is Sting and I sell cars at a ChrysleFord store. I've been in the business since 2008. I went through the 2008 financial crisis. I watched a brand I sell go bankrupt, and a few banks that were major finance partners of ours go bankrupt. In fact one of those banks even ended up owing us like $400,000 for checks that never cleared but that's another story.
What I thought COVID19 would do the industry
I knew COVID19 financial impact would make 2008 look like childs play and with 40,000,000 Americans going on unemployment...I was right. As a result of the massive economic crash I expected sales to fall off a cliff (and they did..for about a few weeks) and the manufactures would combat this by offering major incentives, and we as a dealership would also cut really deep just to keep moving units. I expected customers to be scared of making any major financial commitments (and I've seen some of that)
I also expected repos to explode and flood the used car market (actually I still suspect that will happen, more on that later)
What I didn't truly understand
Inventory...I noticed our inventory was a bit low to begin with pre-COVID19. We had just finished a big sales event and were running a solid 15-20% below our normal levels. Nothing crazy but still lower then normal. However then COVID19 hit and the factories shut down...for a really long time. In fact some factories are still hit and miss and the factories are still experiencing supply chain issues which has been slowing down production.
Then the massive govt spending I think eased a lot of consumers economic fear and folks kept buying cars.
For a good long well we kept selling a decent amount of cars...but here's the thing the factories were closed...we weren't getting our regular shipment of vehicles. At my store we generally get at least one shipment of new inventory every week. For months, that didn't happen.
The Result
At first I did a increase in rebates from the factory, however I think very quickly the factory saw that cars were still moving and inventory levels were going low...and rebates started getting cut. I was seeing mid month rebate changes, with incentives going DOWN not UP. I also saw the factories increasing their ads to drive more traffic and it worked.
We as a dealership really started getting worried about our inventory levels. For the first time in my entire career there were points where I had
Now those vehicles, are big bread and butter vehicles for us. I remember the first time I saw we had no Wranglers (which are big sellers for us) I had guy come in and asked me what Wranglers I had in stock...and I was like "welll...none"
Now my management also noticed our low inventory, now my dealership has a policy against selling ANYTHING for above MSRP...but we will sell at MSRP if the market will bare. I know of a competing dealership is currently doing a $2,500 mark up on all F150s.
I'm not talking about mark up on stuff like Raptors, I'm talking mark up on stuff like XLTs, and Lariats. Bread and butter trucks. I know why they are doing it. They are stupid low on inventory, and if they are going sell a truck they wanna make a nice profit since they don't have many left to I bet they are still getting plenty of traffic.
I have straight up sold what I would call every day vehicles, as in not special edition cars, not anything that would turn your head...for STICKER. Before COVID19 I never sold a Ford Explorer for sticker...ever in my entire career. And I've straight up sold A LOT OF EXPLORERS for sticker.
The upside
So if you go car shopping right now...for a big discount I bet your going be disappointed. However used car prices are up...which means you can expect top dollar for your trade in.
A great example of this a deal I did yesterday. Back in January I sold a Ford Explorer XLT to a customer. We didn't have the color he wanted in the Limited, but I knew he wanted the limited. He drove that Explorer for the last 7 months.
We bought it back from yesterday for $100 more then he bought it from us back in January in return he bought a brand new Explorer Limited that he really wanted. Granted he paid sticker for it, but he also got to drive around in a brand new car for basically free for the last 7 months.
And that used 2020 Explorer will be sold for just a little bit less then what a brand new one sells for.
Also I would expect 0% financing offers to stick around. I've noticed banks are getting tighter with their credit approval and the manufacture wants to attract A+ Credit customers and the best way to do that is to offer 0%
Would I personally buy a car in today market
No I would not. At least not right now.
First off the inventory is light on the ground, so the chances of you even finding what you want is pretty unlikely.
Secondly I think in a few months, especially in America the economy is going be much worse then what it is now and I bet inventory will be in a better position and incentives/prices will be lower.
Also if your in the market for a used car, I suspect lots of folks are defaulting on their loans RIGHT NOW. Now Repos generally take about 3 months to hit. Especially if the CARES act is not renewed you will see a ton of repos hitting dealer lots.
Now their is an argument to mad that the banks might be easy going with customers who are unable to make their payments. Repos are expensive, and the last preferred option for a bank to recoup their loss on a vehicle. 99% of the time in a repo the customer is upside down on the car, and the bank has to pay the repo man to get the car, they have to pay auction fees, and they don't know how much they will get at the auction.
Now sure the bank can sue the customer for the balance remaining after everything is said and done, but remember your suing a guy who just lost his car. He doesn't have money to begin with, if he had you wouldn't have repoed his car because he'd still be driving it.
So with that being said I suspect a lot of banks would rather work with people who are in default, then repo millions of cars. O yea and the banks know if they repo a ton of cars and throw them at auction...the prices are going drop.
Just a tidbit, one bank manager said by his guess the avg repo costs his bank $5,000-$10,000 in losses one you factor in everything.

In peak offseason form, I decided to anagram all the draft picks. I did have two rules, I could not use the original player's name (Example: Brian Burns, could not be Brain Burns), and I couldn't add a suffix to the name. There could definitely be better ones, I used this website.

The drama in Canada continues as U Sports' decision to not extend eligibility to players affected by their odd, FB-only age cap rule causes backlash from all its coaches

Canada's university football (because "college" tends to mean high school up there) has been in a bit of a tizzy this week, as Canada's equivalent of the NCAA decided to cancel the 2020 season, extend eligibility to all players... except the chunk of players who will turn 25 years old prior to the 2021 season.
Age cap? In a weird quirk, football is the only university sport in U Sports with an age cap. Not basketball, not even hockey (granted, most talented players just go straight into amateur ranks).
300 players are affected across only 27 teams. This is as much due to the fact U Sports lets students have some amateuminor league ball. This also includes some grad transfers from the United States.
When we last left off, the association's interim-CEO, who appears to realize the opinion would be unpopular as soon as it was announced last week:
White said U Sports is not itching for a fight when it comes to this.
"If it’s challenged and it gets another review, I don’t hate that,” White said. “I would respect the ruling of the court just like I respect the amount of time and study that our board put into this before they made that decision. They did not make it lightly."
I'm not sure if it would go to court, but a team in the small AUS (Atlantic Canada) successfully sued to be in a playoff game a few seasons ago, so all bets are off when it comes to Canadian rules football.
So here's what's happened in the past several days:
The head coach of the University of Alberta, Chris Morris, stepped down as head of both a university football coaches' committee and a technical subcommittee in protest:
"I can't sit on a committee that's designed to guide policy that's going to be completely ignored," Morris told The Canadian Press on Friday.
"They didn't listen to what we were telling them. We told them the exact opposite to what they did."
No coach supports the ruling, and Morris tweeted out an open letter on behalf of the National Football Coaches Association (CUFCA):
As my final act as President of the National Football Coaches Association (CUFCA), I was asked by my peers to write an open letter to the public. The Canadian National Football Coaches Association is appalled by this ruling and will do everything in our power to have it reversed. Letter
This morning (Monday), U Sports released a statement that it is "processing" the feedback they received.

r/Csgohacks Pinned post v5 (small updates)

Contents listed in order:
1. Cheat Features and meanings (urbandictionary but for csgo cheating) 2. Paid Cheats 3. Free Cheats 4. Basic Guide to cfging hvh cheats (not by me) 5. Overwatch and VAC bans, and how to prevent them.
Cheat Features and Terms you must know: Slang: • P2C - paid cheat
• F2C - free cheat
• HvH - hack versus hack (“rage” or “spin botting” cheaters versus each other, typically done on community servers.)
• hitting p/ p100 / mega p etc. - good. hvh term
• uff ja / hhhhhh / laff / n1 - retard hvh speak
• 1 - (hvh) means you got killed in one headshot
• dump - when a hvh cheat shoots at a persons “fake” or desync
• baim - body aim
[email protected] - (hvh) saying hello to “media”. same use as “hello youtube!”
• “you’re sliding” - someone can see your feet fail to do the walk animation, usually an indication of legit aa (defined in cheat features). This is said to call out closet cheaters.
• Closet cheaters - people that are cheating but will not admit it.
Cheat Features (hvh cheat features will be under the cfg guide)
• Aimbot/aim assistance - unnatural aim assistance .
• Smoothing - affects the speed at which the aimbot • Hitbox - what the aimbot will aim at.
• Delay - the delay before the aimbot acitvates
• Silent aim - the aimbot will not lock on for your view only !! overwatch and spectator still see you lock on
• Backtrack - an exploit which allows you to shoot at where a certain player was and still hit them. Usually is configured in Ticks or ms.
• RCS - recoil control system
• FOV - The size of the zone from your crosshair that the aimbot will engage enemies in.
• Shot delay - the shot number specified before aimbot targets an enemy
Visuals (only ones that aren’t defined in the name. e.g. Healthbar)
• Chams - colours playermodels and/or changes their materials. not visible through walls
• Traceline - draws a line from your model to the type of person specified
• Draw FOV - shows the FOV of your aimbot
•Playermodel FOV - alters your playermodel FOV (makes ur hands furthecloser)
• Backtrack chams / History Chams - shows an enemie’s location history, and where they can be backtracked to.
• Flags (common ones include: money, flashed, distance, etc.) : draws text next to a person if they meet a condition of the flag (e.g. if a person is flashed then the “flashed” text will appear on your esp next to them), or displays the info specified (e.g “Money” simply shows you the amount of money a person has.”
• Spread circle - shows the weapon spread
• Grenade Helper - shows the path of your grenade before you throw it
• Damage indicators - shows damage you did to an enemy
• Knife/Zeus range - draws the range that the knife or zeus can do damage in around your playermodel (useful in thirdperson)
• Autostrafe - automatically stafes for you. Looks like you are doing nothing on your screen.
• Fast stop - exploit allowing a quicker stop from walking.
• Fast duck/unlimited duck - exploit that breaks crouch stamina
• Name stealer - changes your name around based on other players’ names in the match with you.
• Slide walk - makes your playermodel slide when walking.
Cheats* Here’s a master guide of the biggest csgo cheats and info to help you buy :)
Alternative flowchart:
(free cheats toward bottom uwu)
<> Legit <>
• Iniuria -
Upsides: great cheat, undetected for ages. Has tons of features and customization. Offers lifetime. Downsides: Cheat is solely for legit, which is fine if you’re prime. Another downside is it’s a little more expensive the other legit cheats.

Absolute shit. Watch these videos:
• Novolinehook (application)
 Upsides: Great cheat, solid undetection, great feature etc. Downsides: invite only, expensive
• Aimware (public) Good for HVH and legit, definitely not safe for main though; used by lots of people so will likely be hit in VAC waves.

• 420Cheats, Redeye Cheats, 5dollarchears, (there are more)
Upsides- Cheap Downsides- shit cheats, vac dtc often, all pasted by same people

<~> HvH <~>
(also can be used for legit but mainly hvh), also Here’s a pretty nice guide to HvH features.
Upsides: Good cheat, solid choice altogether. The cheat has tons of history. Has lua support and tons of luas for free. Easy enough to cfg. Good desync and aa options. Has a better legitbot than Offers lifetime. Downsides: VAC Auth errors and (albeit rarely,) vac wave detection. The cheat isn’t updated often at all, resulting in a gradual decline in how competent it is. The mods are retarded as hell. The userbase is cancerous and will defend their cheat till the end. (i have used aw) Worse for hvh than skeet and onetap. HWID Resets can take a week or more and your account can get banned for nothing.

Upsides: overall best public cheat for hvh. Awesome fakelag and backtrack as well as resolver. Has simple cfg system and custom model and skybox changer. Great visuals. Constantly being updated and improved. HWID RESETS IN MINUTES!! Has a good mod team. Has p exploits that hide your On Shot aa and one that breaks enemy backtrack. Their slowwalk aa is p is well. Downsides: Legitbot is kinda wack but they just totally reworked it and it’s decent now, but i personally like aimware legitbot more. Onetaps legit aa is safe and doesnt desync to the max which isn’t fun for trolling. The mods also refuse to acknowledge the cheat misses sometimes XD

• Fatality (invite only)
Upsides/Downsides: Overall decent cheat. Not great, not bad. Personally wouldn’t recommend but i’ve never used it.

•Skeet/Gamesense (invite only)
Upsides: Best hvh cheat with the right cfg and luas. Has awesome features. Honestly not writing about it, everyone knows this shit already. Downsides: Way overhyped. Everyone loses their shit when someone has skeet but it’s honestly not that great. Private and it’s really hard to get an invite. Skeet HWID locks are absolute cancer and occasionally you’ll get errors for removing usb devices. The mods will ban you if they see anything they deem sus. Resolver is meh.

• (invite only, but invites are super easy to get. public now)
Upsides/Downsides: Lots of features, cheap. Pretty shit cheat, most of the features it has are broken. The dev is pretty retarded and needs constant help on unknown cheats. However, recently it’s been getting better so we’ll see where it goes from here, but for now stay away.
• Fanta (all versions, some are invite only)
Upsides: Good features, different versions of the cheat. Overall decent for semi rage, shit for closet legit. Downsides: Obviously pasted, shitty cheat. The userbase will defend it to death tho.

HvH only: Onetap or Aimware for public, skeet for private.
HvH/Legit: Aimware.
Legit only: Iniuria if public, novolinehook if private.
remember, all free cheats have a SUBSTANTIALLY higher chance of getting you vac banned. If you have any intention of long-term cheating on an account you value, remember and heed this warning
*~~Legit~~* - Charlanto // Ratpoison: ONLY UNDETECTED FREE CHEAT. Ratpoison is better imo. If you have installation problems look up on google or youtube. Best free cheat for legit.
-EZFRAGS - MEGA P BEST CHEAT /s (don’t use this shit ever k thanks)
Cheat sources (to paste) to keep your paste UDTC, you must change the code often, add junk code, use a proper injector (if you need one HMU, it’s free) and know how to use features and hooks correctly. not the best bet for beginners
-Sensum: best legit source imo
-Osiris: great alternative to Sensum, p features
-gladiatorz- no
-anything else for legit: no
all free hvh cheats will get raped against p2c btw, good luck
Best Sources to paste from:
<~>Basic Cfg Guide<~> Great introduction to hvh settings (post NOT by me)
My cfg: add discord @ Factor#4025
}~{ VAC & Overwatch }~{
(not going over obvious stuff like VAC is a perm ban)
``` 1. VAC is a result of your cheat being detected.
  1. VAC is not an IP or HWID ban.
  2. VAC bans can be delayed.
  3. VAC bans cannot be lifted
  4. Some overwatch bans turn into VAC bans.
  5. Using phone number for accounts means that if one gets banned the other will too.```
  1. Overwatch is when a player watches a demo of you playing and decides if you are cheating or not. The player has the option to ban you.
  2. Not all overwatch bans are perm bans.
  3. It is unknown how many reports it takes to send a player to overwatch. Common belief is around 11 reports in 24 hours.
  4. Great Overwatchers notice: -Extreme Fakelag -Any triggerbot without high delay and proper deadzone (especially “magnet” triggerbot) -Low smooth aimbot -High RCS -ANY bhops and autostrafe!! -obviously any rage settings `
If you want to act legit for ANY spectators, don't use walls, just radar hack, and a very small FOV aimbot + 50% RCS.
If you just don't want to get banned (spectators will probably suspect you but OW probably won't convict) just die from behind a few times.
Factor#1337 on discord :)
Trusted launch: Can sometimes stop free internal cheats, anyone with a brain can bypass it, and every half decent paid cheat bypasses it.
If you are at all concerned about privacy, don't run random free cheats or not well known paid cheats. If you are super serious don't use any paid cheat, just use open source cheats (ratpoison is UD, osiris requires some work to make it UD)
Lost in the Sauce: Trump Tower inflated profits to obtain larger loan...again
Welcome to Lost in the Sauce, keeping you caught up on political and legal news that often gets buried in distractions and theater… or a global health crisis.
TOMORROW: I’m going to post a keep_track look at issues involved in police brutality, prosecution of cops, protests, etc.
Trump announced Saturday he is postponing the annual G7 summit, which was due to be hosted in the U.S. in June, until September — and plans to invite four additional non-member nations including Russia. Boris Johnson responded by saying that he will veto any push by Trump to readmit Russia to the G7 gathering.
The U.S. National Security Agency says the same Russian military hacking group that interfered in the 2016 presidential election has been exploiting a major email server program since last August or earlier. The NSA might have issued an advisory to publicize the IP addresses and a domain name used by the Russian military group, known as Sandworm, in its hacking campaign — in hopes of thwarting their use for other means.
A Russian oligarch is reportedly backing an effort to smear Biden and states he is working with the Trump administration to leak additional damaging material… The oligarch, Oleksandr Onyshchenko, gave tapes of Biden on a phone call with then Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to pro-Russia Ukrainian politician Andriy Derkach, who then leaked the tapes. The audio consisted of edited fragments of phone conversations from years ago when Biden joined other leaders in pressing for the ouster of Ukraine’s corrupt prosecutor general.
  • Derkach met with Rudy Giuliani last year. Onyshchenko worked with another Giuliani associate, Pavel Fuchs (also a co-developer of Trump’s Moscow Tower), to launder hundreds of millions in frozen Yanukovych assets bought from a Russian tycoon. Now, this same group of oligarchs tied to Trump and Giuliani are leaking tapes of unknown provenance to try to undermine a US political campaign.
  • Pro-Trump One America News Network wanted Onyshchenko to come to the US to help with Rudy's disinformation campaign. OAN tried to help him get a visa to travel to the U.S.
Giuliani is also trying to raise $10 million to finance the production of a Biden-Ukraine documentary that can be released this year. Giuliani and his partners have considered the possibility of drawing in investors from overseas, raising the possibility that Giuliani is (again) attempting to orchestrate foreign involvement in the current presidential election.
Flynn-Kislyak transcripts
Last week, the DNI office released the transcripts of the December 2016 calls between former national security adviser Michael Flynn and then-Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak… The transcripts confirm that Flynn lied to the FBI when he claimed that he had not discussed the sanctions imposed on Russia by the Obama administration in response to Vladimir Putin’s attack on the 2016 election.
The transcripts show Flynn encouraged the Russians to not retaliate severely, suggesting that when Trump took office things between Moscow and Washington could be smoothed over… At no point does Flynn castigate Kislyak for Russia’s intervention in the 2016 election. As the Obama administration was trying to impose a punishment on Putin for that attack, Flynn, on behalf of the Trump gang, was sending an utterly different message: We don’t care about that.
  • In fact, Flynn was signaling to Putin that once Trump took office, Trump wouldn’t be pursuing the matter and, instead, would be reaching out to Russia as a partner. (A few months later, Trump, in the Oval Office, would tell Kislyak that directly.)
Kisylak argued that the Obama administration sanctions were aimed at damaging the incoming Trump administration just as much as they were the Kremlin… “I just wanted to tell you that we found that these actions have targeted not only against Russia, but also against the president elect,” said Kislyak, adding that he hopes “within two weeks we will be able to start working in [a] more constructive way.
Tidbit: Mueller’s team asked Trump a series of questions about Flynn's calls with Kislyak; the president simply ignored them.
Tidbit: Flynn told Kislyak in December 2016 that "the boss" (Trump) was aware of Russia's request to have a secure teleconference between Trump and Putin.
Personnel issues
The FBI's top lawyer Dana Boente was asked to resign on Friday following criticism by Fox News for his role in the investigation of Flynn… Two sources familiar with the decision to dismiss Boente said it came from high levels of the Justice Department rather than directly from FBI Director Christopher Wray.
  • Before he moved to the FBI General Counsel job, Boente was the US Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia—the last US Attorney appointed by President Obama to leave office during the Trump era.
Trump’s given reason for firing the State Dept. Inspector General last month was proven to be a false pretense… Trump claimed he was fired for leaking to the media when, in fact, IG Steve Linick was cleared earlier this year by an independent investigation. Pompeo recommended Linick’s removal at a time when the office was investigating multiple instances of abuse of power by the Secretary of State.
Members of three House and Senate committees will interview former State Department Inspector General Steve Linick on Wednesday, as part of an investigation into his abrupt firing. Linick will speak to members of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, the House Oversight and Reform Committee, and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee behind closed-doors.
  • The committees also plan to call Brian Bulatao, undersecretary of State for management; Lisa Kenna, Pompeo's executive secretary; senior adviser Toni Porter; Assistant Secretary for Political-Military Affairs R. Clarke Cooper; former Deputy Assistant Secretary Marik String, a legal adviser to the department; Deputy Assistant Secretary of Political-Military Affairs Mike Miller; and former Deputy Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs Charles Faulkner.
Mike Pompeo's CIA advisory board rankled agency veterans… As CIA director, Pompeo and his wife Susan organized an undisclosed board of outside advisers while he was director of CIA that some at the agency viewed as inappropriately weighted toward wealthy individuals and well-connected political figures.
Op-Ed: Mike Pompeo Is the Worst Secretary of State Ever. The F.B.I. said a Saudi Air Force trainee who killed three U.S. sailors and wounded eight others at a Navy air base in Pensacola, Fla., on Dec. 6 was an act of foreign-planned “terrorism.” ...That sort of intelligence failure — the first foreign-planned terrorist attack on U.S. shores since 9/11 — is something you’d expect Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to be particularly upset about… He just smirks and marches on. But every American should care. The morale and effectiveness of our State Department — and our standing in the world — are both the worse for him.
Last week we learned that the Department of Homeland Security’s inspector general exaggerated his credentials… Joseph Cuffari’s official government bio claims “Dr. Cuffari earned a Ph.D. in philosophy,” but new reporting revealed that his degree is from an unaccredited “diploma mill” that required no classroom instruction and issued degrees for low flat fees. Additionally, the Ph.D. is in management, not philosophy.
Former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein will testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday about the origins of the Russia probe. "Mr. Rosenstein will testify about the new revelations contained in the Horowitz report concerning the FISA warrant applications and other matters," Chairman Lindsey Graham said in a statement. "This will be the first in a series of oversight hearings regarding all things Crossfire Hurricane and the Mueller investigation."
  • Reminder: After Trump fired FBI Director James Comey, then-Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein begged for his job, reportedly trying to assure President Trump that he was on his team. “I give the investigation credibility,” Rosenstein[said on a call with Trump. “I can land the plane.”
Top Republicans are suing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi over new proxy voting plans that will allow some members of the House to vote from home amid the coronavirus pandemic. The decision to allow proxy voting was approved by the House earlier this month, largely along party lines, and is only temporary.
House Republican introduces bill to hold up members' pay if they vote by proxy… Rep. Ted Budd (R-N.C.), who is leading the effort, said: “Outsourcing the duty of a member of Congress is unconstitutional and wrong. House members should not be allowed to send someone else to do their jobs for them.”
Last week, Trump unexpectedly withdrew his support from a FISA reauthorization bill, leading Republicans to abandon the proposal and the House to pull a vote on the legislation. However, as Rep. Justin Amash pointed out, in 2018 Trump himself signed into law the long-contentious spying authority he recently began railing against.
Judicial news
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham urges senior judges to step aside before the November election so Republicans can fill vacancies… Graham said:
“This is a historic opportunity. We’ve put over 200 federal judges on the bench. … If you can get four more years, I mean, it would change the judiciary for several generations. So if you’re a circuit judge in your mid-60s, late 60s, you can take senior status, now would be a good time to do that, if you want to make sure the judiciary is right of center…”
  • Op-Ed: Should Trump lose, you can bet that the day after, McConnell will be on the phone to the White House Counsel’s Office demanding that they nominate someone for every vacant seat, ASAP. It won’t matter who — somebody’s neighbor, somebody’s nephew (there isn’t even a requirement that judges be lawyers) — so long as they’re committed conservatives, and as young as possible so they can serve for decades
Democratic lawmakers are scrutinizing one of President Donald Trump’s outside advisors and his multimillion-dollar “dark money” network for rigging the judicial nomination process… The Senate Democrats’ report details how an interlocked group of anonymous donors has been directing the judicial nominations process through media and lobbying campaigns. Leading this effort is allegedly Leonard Leo and his conservative organization, the Federalist Society.
The Supreme Court late Friday rejected a California church’s challenge of the state’s new pandemic-related rules on worship services, with Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. joining the court’s liberals in the 5-to-4 vote… Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s dissent falsely accused the state of religious discrimination in an extremely misleading opinion that omits the most important facts of the case. Roberts went out of his way to scold Kavanaugh’s dishonest vilification of the state.
DOJ memo offered to buy out immigration board members… The buyouts were only offered to Board of Immigration Appeals members hired before Trump took office. Critics view the move as an effort to push out the civil servants on the board and stack it with new hires who would align with the Trump administration’s restrictive immigration agenda.
An immigrant woman sued a private prison company on Wednesday alleging she was raped inside an ICE detention center in Texas that resulted in her giving birth to her attacker's daughter. The woman, identified in the complaint as Jane Doe, was detained at the Houston Processing Center, operated by CoreCivic.
The Trump administration is accelerating efforts to seize private property for Trump’s border wall, taking advantage of the coronavirus pandemic to survey land while its owners are confined indoors. However, landowners are largely fighting the effort in court. Since December, the administration has obtained only seven miles of land.
Family separation returns under cover of the coronavirus… Citing the coronavirus to seal the border, the Trump administration is engaged in a pressure campaign against immigrant parents to get them to give up either their kids or their legal claims to protection in the U.S.
Trump corruption
Trump Tower’s 2010 Profits Magically Grew By $3 Million In New Loan Filings. One set of reports listed the tower’s 2010 profits as $13.3 million; a second put them at $16.1 million. That helped the Trump Organization borrow $73 million more than it had before.
Last year, ProPublica revealed another set of income discrepancies at Trump Tower and other company-owned buildings, ones that seemed to hark to the testimony of former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, who testified that Trump would inflate income figures when seeking a loan and deflate the figures when filing taxes. Other Trump Organization properties investigated by ProPublica reported higher profits in the CMBS filings than they did in tax filings. A Trump Organization spokesperson said at the time that “comparing the various reports is comparing apples to oranges” because reporting requirements differ.
Trump Towers Istanbul partner lobbied the president and White House cabinet to sizably boost trade with Turkey in response to the novel coronavirus. Asked whether the president performed favors for a business associate, a senior White House official emphasized the longstanding trade relationship with Turkey, a NATO ally.
Lawmakers urge Trump to cancel DC's July 4 event… "Given the current COVID-19 crisis, we believe such an event would needlessly risk the health and safety of thousands of Americans," the lawmakers wrote. "Further, this event would come at the cost of millions of taxpayer dollars while we are facing an unprecedented economic downturn due to the pandemic," they added.
The Republican National Committee held its winter meeting in January at Trump’s struggling Doral golf resort, giving Trump more than half a million dollars from the RNC and 13 state GOP committees. The state Republican party committees of West Virginia, Texas, Connecticut, Minnesota, Iowa, North Carolina, Alabama, Colorado, Massachusetts, Missouri, New York, Georgia, and Wyoming all contributed to the massive tab.
Trump’s Spent Nearly $20 Million on Lawyers to Carry Out His Political Vendettas… A large part of recent spending is aimed at curbing mail-in voting.
Home-made cold brew coffee is the best bang-for-your-buck. It's incredibly delicious and very cheap, perfect for us students.
TL;DR: Using a French press, let coffee grinds sit in fridge for 12 - 16 hrs and you will have amazing coffee ready for you every morning. In terms of bang-for-your-buck, there's no better option. I highly recommend this for any student that relies heavily on regular coffee without breaking the bank.
Whether you're out on rotations or in didactic, coffee is the life blood which keeps us going through the darkest of days. Many of us rely on buying coffee; sometimes that means regular Starbucks runs or frequenting cafeteria coffee, which can become expensive and disgusting, respectively. What I plan to accomplish with this post is give my fellow PA students a decent insight on how to make equally delicious and cheap coffee to help you through those grueling lectures or those early morning hospital shifts. Because you deserve better! This post is largely aimed for those more interested a more comprehensive guide to brewing your own coffee, but if that's not your style then that's totally fine. At the end of the day you just get whatever coffee you like, pour it into a French Press, and let it sit for 12 - 16 hours in a fridge. Boom. You wake up the next morning with a cup of Joe waiting to hug your taste buds and squeeze your colon. You'll never go back to regularly buying pre-made coffee from other sources.
I should preface the rest of the post by saying that there are a TON of ways to brew coffee, largely shaped by a person's preferences. This is just one way to do it. If you know of others that work well for you, then by all means share what you do/use!
What you'll need:
THE METHOD ----------------------------------------
My preferred way to make cold brew is by using a French Press. You can find a ton of different types out there, but to my knowledge one isn't any better than the other. Choose whichever one is cheapest or looks the coolest, whichever you value the most. I have also seen cold brew jars that already include a sock-type thing that lets you steep your coffee. That works as well.
THE BEANS --------------------------------------------
Next you'll want to choose your coffee. There are two ways about this: you can buy pre-ground, or you can buy whole beans and grind them yourself. The former is much more convenient, however there is a wider variety when it comes to whole beans and they are often higher quality (particularly if you buy them from specialty roasters). As far as which roast to use (light, medium, dark) that is entirely your preference. Lighter roasts tend to have a more complex flavor profile and, whereas darker roasts tend to be more bitter. Find whatever works for you. Experiment. As a side note, another reason why I love cold brew so much is because it tends to "compress" the flavors in coffee towards the middle. That means that you'll get a slight boost in flavor with sub-par beans or a slightly older bag you had lying around. Conversely, though, it tends to tone down some of the more nuanced tastes in higher quality coffee, so don't go crazy and buy this super boojie coffee because I don't think it'll be worth it.
There are various locations you can get coffee from, but one of my favorites is Happy Mug. Their beans are reasonably priced and the quality is pretty good. Feel free to explore other online alternatives, local roasters, or even ones in your local grocery store. Go crazy!
THE GRIND -----------------------------------------------
If you decide to go down the whole bean algorithm, then I highly recommend you get a scale and a burr grinder. Reason being is that buying better coffee beans will not make your coffee taste better by default. If you're buying better coffee you'll want to get consistently good results, and using the aforementioned tools heavily help you in that regard. As a rule of thumb you want to weigh out 16 grams of water per 1 gram of ground coffee. Again, feel free to mess with this ratio until it meets your liking. The reason why a burr grinder is optimal is because blade grinders tend to give you INCREDIBLY inconsistent grinds; some portions of the beans may be drastically more coarse or finer than the overall average. This is not typically desirable because the size of the grind affects how coffee is extracted and hence can have a negative impact on the taste of your coffee if some of your brew is being over-extracted (giving it a very bitter taste) while other portions are being under-extracted (giving it a "washed out" flavor that almost tastes like a wet rag that's been left out for a day or two). Burr grinders tend to give you a more consistent grind and consequently more consistent results. Electronic burr grinders tend to be more expensive, but there are some really good hand-held ones, such as the Hario ceramic grinder.
If you opt to go with the burr grinder, you'll want to aim for a coarse grind. This means the product should have a similar consistency as table salt. Any finer than that and your brew will turn out over-extracted.
THE TECHNIQUE ----------------------------------------
This is a little misleading because there really isn't much technique to it, at least when you compare it to other methods of brewing coffee. As previously mentioned you want to weigh out a ~16:1 ratio of water:beans and mix it into the receptacle of choice. You'll want to let it steep for anywhere between 12-16 hours, so best done shortly after arriving from school/clinic so it'll be ready by the time you wake up the following morning. When you're ready to drink a cup just press the plunger down and pour out.
Some considerations:
STORAGE ----------------------------------------------------
Once you're done you'll want to keep your coffee as fresh for as long as you can. Some people like to keep it in their original bags and roll up the open part, and others like to store their coffee in zip-lock bags in the freezer. I would advise against either of those as they can actually degrade the quality of the coffee. Instead your best bet would be to buy an air-tight container with a CO2 filter and store them in there. Trust me, you'll be glad you did.
CONCLUSION ----------------------------------------------
Well I think that about covers it. If you guys have questions about any of this or other kinds of coffee brewing let me know! Hope you enjoy your delicious home-made coffee!
Anti-corruption background checks begin for public officials
The govt passed a law to require judges and officials to undergo "background checks" before being hired.
Additionally, asset forfeiture law was passed to confiscate embezzled property. A new prosecutors' department was created to handle asset forfeiture.
These new prosecutors are also going through background checks before being hired.
The new anti-corruption institute tasked with doing these new background checks has audited 26 potential prosecutors: 2 failed, 11 barely passed, 13 passed.
U.S. sends $1mln anti-corruption aid
New stray dog shelter and strategy to reduce numbers
In 2018, newly-elect Yerevan Mayor Marutyan vowed to end the practice of killing stray dogs. It wasn't just to be humane. City says mass-killings make the other dogs more aggressive, and research shows they breed faster. Not killing is a long-term strategy.
City took over the task of catching dogs from the private industry, which was mired in corruption.
They began neutering, tagging, and releasing the non-dangerous ones.
City's dog-department has just launched its new facility. It has a clinic, surgery, post-surgery rooms, more cages, and soon a disease lab.
They neuter 25 dogs per day. 1300 in 2020H1, twice more than last year. 4300 since 2019.
City says equally important is dog owners' behavior. They shouldn't dump pets on the streets.
The law requires pet owners to register their pets, but only 400 out of 20,000 have done so.
If they were registered, the owners would less likely dump them, and if they did, the pets' micro-chip would allow City to find and punish the owner.
To encourage more owners to register, City wants to eliminate the $10/year ownership fee.
Months ago the deputy Healthcare Minister Armen Davtyan was charged with accepting bribes. He denies wrongdoing.
The person who gave bribes is Razmik Abrahamyan. He confessed.
A trial was held today. Minister Torosyan was called to testify as a witness.
He spoke about the anti-corruption fight within the system and how he routinely spoke with directors of various institutes to make sure they don't even try to offer bribes to Ministry officials "because the old way of doing things is gone".
P.S. The bribe giver is the same guy who is also a defendant in a separate case about the extortion and trafficking of dozens of newborn children. He's the director of the Republican Childbirth Clinic.
Journalists find "fishy" corruption / 2 mayors busted
In January, Hetq outlet published a report about fishy things going on around a fish business in Ararat province.
Prosecutors say: in 2004 a lease was signed for an 11ha land in Sis. In 2007 the company illegally built fish-breeding pools on 5ha.
Sis's former and current leaders knew about this but ignored it.
The former mayor cannot be charged due to statute of limitations, while the current mayor qualifies for Pashinyan's 2018's mass amnesty.
Sis was told to either destroy the facility or take it under public control. They chose the latter. The facility was recently sold for $230,000.
Lostbelt 4: Yuga Kshetra – Section 11 [Treta Yuga / Medical God Asclepius] Part 1
HUGE credit to roadromancer who did 70% combined in these segments! There's a lot here, so please comment or dm or what have you if you spot any typos!
Lostbelt 4: Section 11- Part 1
Treta Yuga / Medical God Asclepius
The clock of the Yuga Cycle ticks to the 5th day, signifying the start of the Treta Yuga. At the same time, the land begins to become slightly barren
Somewhere in the skies, Arjuna has noticed something amiss. Limbo voices it out for the other Lokapala to hear – it appears that Kubera’s divinity has disappeared. William Tell and Asclepius aren’t bothered by this news, while Limbo feels rather displeased by this turn of events. But for Arjuna, he doesn’t care. It is but one divinity. He is still the same.
Indeed it is so. However, we should treat this as a problem, since we’ve lost a pawn to fulfill miscellaneous tasks no?
I believe that it was for those various tasks that the other Servants were summoned, and Ashvatthaman was added to the ranks.
Additionally, if you desire it, I can provide the summoning rite this very moment……
God Arjuna:
……Nay. Such a thing……is trivial. Now……all I am……Is to continue cycling the Yuga.
With that power……that you have……brought in. The Yuga cycle……that has been sluggishly moving……has finally been compressed.
Therefore, I……will continue. I will continue to eradicate…the world’s evil (flaws), and amend the flood of sin…
None but God sees these tremblings, the period that materializes the Yuga cycle---
The demise of the Mahayuga……draws near……
The Mahayuga then. So……these ten, cycling days of the Yuga are a part of the Great Yuga?
Yes, now is the closure of the universe! Now is The Latter Day of the Law of the whole world! The Mahakali Yuga’s demise is near!
O’ God, O’ God, be proud. The morality that you have repeatedly continued for so long, at last it bears fruit.
To normally reach this point would have likely required hundreds or thousands of years but, such a thing is much too slow moving!
And you! In the extremely short span of ten days, cycled the Lesser Yugas! The Mahayuga’s cycle has hastened! Nnn, how splendid---
God Arjuna:
And it will arrive……true, virtuous……truly necessary things will only remain……
The creation of……a perfect and ideal world---
Indeed! Yes yes, indeeed! How wonderful it would be, for such a world! How wonderful……if it really comes!
Just a bit more, truly just a little bit more …
In few more cycles, as you repeat the altering creation of the Lesser Yugas, we should reach that world.
I surmise it is within a number countable with your fingers! Once more? Perhaps twice? Fufu, fufufu, it is something to look forward to, yes!
Asclepius clicks his tongue and asks Limbo not to deviate too far from topic. Since Blonde Nezha’s death isn’t something for them to worry over, Asclepius asks if he can return to his research. He doesn’t have time to waste on trivialities. Asclepius compares this whole waste of time to patients making needless chatter in the examination room – something irritating. He’s sick of hearing things like the flu or broken bones, though a rare disease may be of interest to his ears.
God Arjuna:
……If you want me to wait, I’ll do so. What is it?
God Arjuna:
I have one thing……That I must……Tell you all……
(Oho? Well well, this is rare. Yes, quite rare --- a fragment of his humanity, perhaps?)
Meanwhile, our group walks across the land in this new Yuga.
It seems there are less flowers than there were yesterday.
If I were to put my finger on it…it would be the abundance of them. Somehow that appears to depend on the Yuga Cycle.
Today’s date marks the start of the 2nd, the Treta Yuga…
Da Vinci:
Things worsened a bit since the 1st, Kreta Yuga, as one period of the proper four turned over.
We can put it bluntly despite that feeling weird for us, since this is probably how things are in this world.
Everyone should be used to it here.
In any case, no matter how we’d try, it’d be impossible to suddenly accommodate to the abrupt change.
The Yuga Cycle has sped up to a 10 day rate, which is extremely irregular…
It’d be no surprise for irregularities to pop up from this kind of world effecting distortion.
As you proceed along, Da Vinci begins to introduce Asclepius’s legend. He was born to the Olympian deity, Apollo, and a woman named Coronis. Asclepius possesses half-divinity, and was left in the care of the wise centaur, Chiron, immediately after birth. From Chiron, he learned medicine and exhibited formidable talent for it.
Apollo is a god that oversees illness and medicine, and this was likely passed down to Asclepius. Because Asclepius developed the knowledge of herbs and botany taught by Chiron, the concept of ‘medicine’, which was once something only in the realm of gods, was then spread to the people. It is likely due to this that people regard Asclepius as the “Father of Medicine”, or “God of Medicine”.
Medical treatments, the skills and knowledge to treat other people’s injuries or ailments – the paradigm shift of “Doctors” and “Patients”. Asclepius can be said to be the one who ushered these in. Da Vinci continues, describing how Asclepius joined the Argonauts having been scouted for his medical skills. If Medea, Atalante or Heracles were around, you may have been able to get more details about him.
Sorry, but I’m not interested in his character right now. What we need is the necessary information to defeat our enemy.
Da Vinci:
Of course, there are other accounts that are of interest. The staff, herbs, and also snakes……
But, it looks like it’ll be better to talk about those later.
Breath-taking Teacher Mode ends now, you see.
Why is that?
Meuniere reports the signal of a large, wild beast. It appears to be a hydra type. Da Vinci laments having spoken about snakes since it attracted one. Holmes raises that the enemy is also just a normal beast, and not a legendary creature from Indian myth. It is also hungry to have you for its meal.
[I humbly decline…!] / [Survival of the fittest is a cruel beast…!]
After defeating the snake, the sun sets, you setup camp in a cave somewhere.
[Hoff! Hoffhoffhoff!] / [Yummy…!]
Fou! Foufoufou!
Don't be shy, get your fill! These are my special roasted bananas!
Come now, Mash-chan! These are just perfect for beauty, health, and even dieting.
A girl like you just has to eat them! Which of course means that I do too!
I-I’ll take one……Oh wow, it's delicious!
Fou burns his tongue while trying to eat his 'nana. Lakshmi reminisces fondly of the past, when she was camping back during the Rebellion. Rama is a bit puzzled over Lakshmi’s reaction, and she goes on to describe some of the hardships she experienced during the Indian Rebellion – being forced to move from Jhansi after the Sepoys (Sipahi) attacked, and the lack of food, manpower, and resources as they headed towards Delhi.
Meanwhile in the Shadow Border, Da Vinci speaks to Captain.
Da Vinci:
……This is just me being a busybody, but...Are you sure you don’t want to join in the conversation?
Fuu……Clever like a dolphin. So you knew after all.
Da Vinci:
If you are who I think you are--- I remember that there are rumors that you participated in the Indian Rebellion.
It’s from a story though, so I wouldn’t know whether or not it’s true.
Well……I wonder that myself. Right now, I am nobody.
If it wasn’t for Sion Eltnam Sokaris, I wouldn’t be who I am right now. That’s all I can say.
Da Vinci:
Huh? That would mean……
Anyway……I’ll refrain from conversing with them, since we should give them time to quietly rest, right?
There isn’t a need to butt in on campfire tales of the past either.
I’ll do something more important, and take a look at our systems one more time. Maybe I’ll even do that until dawn.
Captain walks off, while Da Vinci just gives an understanding, small smile. As for Rama and Lakshmi, they continue talking. Rama is impressed by Lakshmi’s outdoor adaptability.
Are you implying that a woman that sleeps on the ground is no Rani?
Far from it. Sita was said to be born in the furrows of the fields. I have much more of a liking for a woman that bears the scent of the earth.
Gosh! I wonder if when you become a famous hero, that kind of natural seductive skill was a given! Better remember that!
Wait, why? Could it be……you were planning on telling Sita when we find her!
You’ve got it wrong, it was not like I was trying to make passes on Lakshmi or anything of that sort!
Oh, I know. I didn’t plan on telling her or aaanything.
That look says otherwise!
……. (Smiling)
[Isn’t it great that we can relax like this, Mash] / [Aren’t these nanners tasty, Mash]
Things are a bit hazy, but it is nice to chat like this, isn’t it. Somehow…I feel really calm.
God Arjuna is really powerful. This world operates under his abnormal system.
Mash recalls the deaths of your Nezha and Karna.
……Nezha-san and Karna-san, have both been lost……
Mash thinks about the smiling Asha, back in her village.
And we witnessed something really heartwrenching---
To be honest, I’ve been feeling a bit down ever since that.
[………Me too]
With everyone gathered like this around the fire, somehow I feel a bit more positive.
She looks towards Pepe, smiling and chatting away with the group.
Pepe-san was always nice to the me from back then, who knew nothing.
Ever since, I’ve always felt that he’s a very sociable person……
Which makes us being enemies a bit more painful.
But right now, we’re gathered around the same fire together, and fighting against a common objective.
It’s somehow, well…….I can’t quite say it well but, it makes me feel really happy---
Flat out hopeful too. Even after this, when we have to confront that Caster...Asclepius.
Maybe he’ll have something to say about this world like Nezha-san.
That’s why, if we talk it out, maybe we might be able to cooperate---
Agreed, fabulous! You’ve become such a wonderful child!! Mash-chan’s way of thinking is correct!
Wha- Pepe-san……
Well, while I don’t really believe much in my so-called fortune, I have no choice but to stay realistic.
Then again, all personal bets are ways off. So don't worry about it.
The chances certainly aren’t zero. Even if they’re a Lokapala, talking it over may be a good approach to take.
But, despite saying that…among the Lokapala, I think Ashvatthaman won't ever budge.
……Why is that?
You saw it too right? His fighting spirit from earlier.
I don’t think you can have that kind of focus unless you have the conviction to match.
[You could beat him again and again……] [And he’d get right back up……]
Yeah. He’ll immediately recover no matter what kind of damage he takes. Even if it’s lethal.
When we were still partners, he didn’t have that kind of regenerative ability, so it’s probably some effect from a divinity that Arjuna bestowed upon him.
Anyway, it doesn’t seem like he’ll just slack off after recovering from being near death right? He’s deadset..
That’s why it’ll be difficult to get hold of him, or have betray the other side. Even though he really hates them.
It feels like he’s working for Arjuna more than anyone else.
Not just because they’re his Master, but because there’s a strong impression of some kind of benefit or faith.
Even if they were originally enemies, that Arjuna feels like something that has already surpassed the Kaurava or the Pandava……
I was busy with several things and benched him when India’s Lostbelt was formed, but I should’ve tried to talk and be more friendly with Ashvatthaman.
That way I could at least get an impression of why he’s doing this.
Fou, foufou!
Fou kicks Pepe.
Am I being scolded by this sweet little animal? Quit it, stoop!
What's that? “You shouldn’t have lost your rights as Master in the first place”?
...As his former master, I do feel responsible.
Even originally Ashvatthaman always seemed angry about something. The complete opposite to someone frivolous like me
We were too different, so I thought that I could let him handle the parts that I didn’t have.
First and foremost, his combat abilities are quite something, wouldn’t you say?
His anger…Yeah he was definitely really angry all the time.
Is there some kind of deeper meaning? Or is he just like that?
I don’t know myself, but he was like that when I did summon him.
Maybe that was just how he was.
There’s a legend where he fell into rage upon learning that his father was murdered, and massacred the enemy camp in the dark of night.
By casting aside the wartime rules of his era, his actions were seen as completely unforgivable.
Anyway……Even as a Servant, he always had that anger in him.
And it wasn’t just that. I would also see him direct the flames of anger towards anything and everything too…
He’s well……Yeah, in a way, kind of a clumsy boy.
But, [Anger] is a very powerful thing.
It does come off as an inflexible, narrow-minded, and negative thing. But, from another perspective, it is a heavily concentrated, tenacious emotion.
For someone like him who appears to have personified that conviction, his devoted hostility is...
Well, terrifying.
Reeally now……If I was still a Master, I wonder how things would be right now?
Wouldn’t he have been a strong ally?
Fufu, I wonder if he would? Would you think that someone so lukewarm like me could’ve caused his heat to drop a bit?
In any case……he’s still out there, angry at something or other.
I’m not being insensitive about it. A constant anger means he’s very passionate.
[Passionate……?] / [He’s not just running wild......?]
Yes, he’s a passionate person. His heart is ablaze. You’ll understand when you’re older.
You’ll know how difficult, and how sad it is to “be truly angry to the extent that it burns yourself”.
Normally, violent emotions won’t progress that far. After anger, there is regret or despair.
To continue being “angry”, is something unimaginable to me. There’s also an extent to being sincere over such things.
Pepe burst out laughing.
I mean, I’m a free-spirited wanderer! If my hair got burned to crisp I’d lose everything!
There's a Buddhist belief that the world is just full of suffering. But just by hearing a name like Peperonchino, you know they lead a carefree life.
Now you get it, there we go! It’s a splendid name if I do say so myself: Peperoncino!
A riddle from top to bottom! Someone who lives simply, wherever they go: Me!
…That makes sense. Pepe-san, I always remember you being sincere about everything.
Pepe calms down and focuses.
You were never angry…But at the same time, you were hard on yourself.
Which leads me to say…That Masters summon Servants who are close to themselves.
Pepe-san may be a flexible thinker, but deep down he takes his responsibilities seriously.
He doesn't just live an easy life, but bases it more on faith, you know?
My my. That’s such an honor. But I’m not a person worthy of that much praise.
Mash-chan may be thinking that because we’re former A-Team members……It’s possible to make friends with the Crypters.
But that’s impossible, so please drop it. You and your Master are both grievances for us.
Regardless of who they are, the Crypters are a gathering of people that are isolated from others.
Idealistic. Persecuted. Rebels. Born as a mistake. Lost their humanity.
We problem children of all sorts gathered together as one team.
None of us are virtuous humans. Including me.
Aren’t we the heretics that took the hand of the "Alien God" to stay alive?
Mash-chan lives for herself, and may even feel obligated to keep doing so, but…
This was planned from the start, for us. That’s why you should pay it no mind.
Da Vinci:
(It was planned……? At which stage would that have been, Peperoncino?)
Oh, but Chaldea being such an oh so comfortable place was great. To me it was like---hmm.
Having found something like my purpose for being born! Kyaa―☆!
W-was it now. There is much I don’t understand about you right now, but I do know you have strong convictions.
That shows even in battle. Those eyes of yours can see quite well, can’t they?
They aren’t simply a product of physical potential. Is there perhaps magic involved?
Yessiree. It’s supernatural power alright. Su-per-na-tu-ral. You use it too, don’t you Rama-chan?
Mine are powers of the Gods that even people can use, just skills that can be learned.
“Unimpeded Bodily Functions”, “Awareness of the Minds of Others”, “Extinction of Contamination”. I’m pretty decent with these, I’ll have you know. 1
What are those…?
H-Hmm? I feel like I remember hearing about those, or maybe not…Business advisor, what do you think?
Those are three of six supernatural powers in Japanese Shugendō.
“Unimpeded Bodily Functions” lets you go beyond human speed. “Awareness of the Minds of Others” is an ability that can read the power of others.
And “Extinction of Contamination”…Apologies, I’m not well versed on it. I understand it conceptually, but it’s hard to put to words.
Unique to Buddhism, it perceives fate, and lets you comprehend it, but…
Amazing, detective! That was a detailed explanation of Eastern ideologies! “Extinction of Contamination” is, how should I put it.
Would it be like knowing yourself, I wonder? Oh, but now that I think about it, [Guda]-chan.
As Mash’s Master, you probably won’t have much of an affinity for these powers.
But like, in “Extinction of Contamination”'s case, well? It’s kind of bad omen, so?
(……Hmm. That one is said to be a mental state cut off from mental defilement. And he thinks of it as a bad omen……)
[Um……Why do you say you're a wanderer?]
My you’d ask me that? Such a bold question for a cute face.
It’s simple. When I was around your age, I fled from my hometown.
Ever since, I’ve been a stranger without a fixed residence, and unknown nationality. Chaldea was the very first place where I felt a belonging to.
[What made you do that…?]
There wasn’t anything there for me. My family, no, I suppose all my relatives? We just didn’t click.
(Goes to show, as I killed my entire clan myself. Well, such destinies do exist right?)
Somewhere else, Ashvatthaman treks across the fields.
This is shit…
Anger fills his vision.
…Complete shit……!
Anger clouds his entire mind.
I’m so pissed. Pissed. PISSED. So angry I’m nauseous. So angry I’m dizzy.
It won’t stop. Because I’m me, it won’t stop.
That’s why I wish:
For the end of the Mahayuga, where everything will be destroyed and reborn, as the world cycles to that point.
Where all evils are purged, and a perfect world comes to be.
Hurry, and come---.
As you make your way to the next village, you encounter a man who warns you of the dangers there – apparently an epidemic has broken out, and many people are sick. Rumor has it that there have already been countless deaths.
Gordolf trembles in fear and asks Da Vinci if there have been contingency plans made against illness. Da Vinci affirms, saying that your movement throughout India has given enough information to deal with the problem. Furthermore, you are equipped with a Poison Resistance skill thanks to your contract with Mash. You are keen to carry on, though Gordolf is still worried. Da Vinci also warns you that because the Border isn’t equipped with enough vaccines and supplies, you might not be able to save everyone.
When you arrive at the village, much to your surprise, it is bustling with activity and the people look fine. Lakshmi proceeds to ask one of the villagers about the epidemic and learns that the people have been already for quite some time.
Apparently, a doctor came to the village and stopped the infectious disease from spreading any further. The doctor didn’t accept any of their gifts and left the village after his job was done. The villager also recalls the doctor to have said: “I took a detour just to observe the situation. This isn’t a fundamental solution for this world.”. He appeared to be perplexed over something as well.
A mysterious doctor……a heroic like act……
Da Vinci-chan. Can we go over things again to confirmed it’s Asclepius?
Da Vinci:
Let’s see.
Pure magicians, witches, alchemists, breathtaking feamle inventors and universal person, many types of Caster----
But Asclepius’ title, especially from his background is without a doubt……”Doctor”.
Elated, Mash wonders if we might be lucky this round, and Asclepius might ally with us. Holmes interrupts, raising that they have detected the presence of Asclepius coming. As a man in a black hood makes his way over, Mash attempts to ask him if he was the one who cured the village but…
Shut up and be quiet. This is the village I secured for my experiments. Equivalent to being my examining room.
Patients that suddenly speak in the examining room are even worth less than dirtied gauze
Patients should only reply in response to what they are asked.
"Did you do this"? "Why did you cure them"? I haven’t done anything yet!
Gracious. Based on that, it seems like our rumored doctor isn’t how we thought they were.
Obviously. All I had come here for was to conduct research on the epidemic.
I didn’t bring any wonder drugs or the like with me.
Very annoying……The number of cases is important to the development of medicine.
If it was spreading throughout the village, at least I wouldn’t have needed to stress out on that but…
Suddenly all the cases are zero!? Ludicrous.
I don’t know who you are but you have some gall to steal my precious research opportunity!
Uhhhh, everything he says is to his own benefit. So I guess he’s the kind that just dumped his stats into INT?
Hmm. Even I can tell what people of that like would do.
Answer one thing for me. Were you the one who first spread this disease?
Huh? Are you stupid? Slime for brains? Who would do such a thing.
I just want medicine to progress, and collect case studies. What would I gain by increasing the number of patients to achieve that. That’s just be getting one’s priorities wrong.
However……it seems like you didn’t have a plan to stop the spread of the infection.
That’s because I deemed no reason to. I don’t take any pointless actions. It’s more reasonable to develop the vaccine while studying the sick.
Even if the people die in the meantime?
Yeah, it is lamentable, truly lamentable. But dying in front of me is akin to medicine having made progress.
Betting on my pride as a doctor, I don’t waste my patients’ deaths in vain.
Surely from there, something can be obtained for the next case.
Even now. After this, I’ll show you the direct connection from my medical progress---
Ganesha doesn’t feel like we can get through Asclepius. While everything he says is reasonable, he gives off a sense of a mad doctor. Furthermore, it doesn’t seem like he is of similar opinion as the Blonde Nezha. Asclepius catches on, and mentions that unlike Nezha, he has no problems with what God Arjuna is doing. In fact, Asclepius subscribes to the ideal where all flawed things are removed from the world.
It’s far better than being removed from the world just for being stellar. It’s far better than the like of a foolish and cowardly god---
Do you know? That I, would receive what kind treatment from god (Zeus)?
Da Vinci explains to you quickly. At his very peak, Asclepius produced a medicinal drug that could revive the dead. However, this did not please the Greek Gods, and Hades, having felt threatened that his authority over death would be undermined, had the principal deity, Zeus, punish Asclepius. With a single bolt of lightning, Zeus killed Asclepius, and raised him to the heavens out of respect for Apollo, where he became the constellation of Ophiuchus.
So much for respect. To think that he’d go “I’ll treat you as a god so forgive me”! Who asked for such a thing!? Meaningless, utterly meaningless!
All I wanted was to progress medicine! And at the end I arrived at the ability to resurrect the dead!
The Greek Gods were far too narrow-minded. They were lazy, cowardly, and stubborn.
They were not right. They punished me with injustice.
Just because I had excellence, for that very reason I received punishment.
Ahh……I see.
This world is the very opposite. Only the excellent beings will survive, and the inferior ones will disappear!
Simple and clear-cut! An extremely natural law! Correct, correct, this world is the very definition of correct!
Just what is it you hope for at the end of the world?
Have you not understood what I’ve been saying at all? My wish is but one. To develop my medicine.
……And for that purpose, you wouldn’t mind even if the world loses something……?
……? So long as humans don’t go perish, won’t medicine surely be of use?
Isn’t all that matters is them not going extinct? If that’s the case then rest assured.
Whatever it takes, I will make sure my patients survive. And of course. For that end, I’ll continue to pile all kinds of sacrifices.
Mash pauses for a bit.
Mash:…….Master. This man---
[…….I know how you feel.] [……It’s like he’s fundamentally misaligned…]
Lakshmi agrees. Even if Asclepius has tremendous medical skill, he has failed to soothe the cries of the people that have been discarded by the world. In response, Asclepius just voices his disappointment in having to deal with foolish patients. Especially those that cannot keep their promise in the dos and don’ts advised by the doctor. For those patients that are trying to ruin this world, he believes that somewhere they must be infected.
He’s getting serious now! It’s time to fight back, Guda!
There’s nothing to be afraid of, he’s just a Caster-class doctor!
Just? Have you forgotten that I have been bestowed with divinity by Arjuna as a Lokapala?
The Indian God that I was given---
Asclepius snaps his fingers, and more undead appear.
Was Yama.
The God of Death, the King of the Undead---Guardian of the South!
Asclepius further adds that he has good affinity with Yama, having revived the dead before. And since Yama isn’t Hades, he has no problems whatsoever.
Hieee, a creepy crawly type hack and slash on top of being a zombie game and musou!?
Unless there’s a supermove that goes in all directions with I-frames, there’s no way we can win!
Gordolf is stunned and questions if its some kind of Necromancy, but Holmes remarks that this is no longer in the territory of human magecraft, something that deals with the acts of gods. He warns you to carefully dispose of the enemies. Asclepius tells you to rest easy, since he’ll be the one making you into new corpses.
Powered by SBR In sports betting terminology, SU is an abbreviation for “Straight Up”, which refers to the record of a team without factoring in the spread. Consequently, placing a straight up bet means that you’d be betting on the actual outcome of the game and that the point spread would be irrelevant. SU = straight up (meaning just to win the game). So if the Patriots are 9-1 SU in their last 10 it means they won 9 of their last 10 games. ATS = against the spread. So if the Patriots are 6-4 ATS it means they covered the spread in 6 of their last 10 games.
